Fiord – Urban Furniture Design Series
Fiord is a design series of concrete objects that covers a wide range of urban usability. Consisting of two different sized planters, three different sized benches, a huge lounge with a backrest for multiple persons and a litter bin. Each piece, shaped like little islands, fit together from almost every side allowing the entire collection to be arranged in multiple configurations. The overall design can be associated with mountain arms reaching into the water, following this image and the given name, the shape of the benches is very organic and offers a comfortable recreational experience while forming an attractive spot in vivid city landscapes.

– Arched seating surface ensures rain to drop off the edges and not to stow while it also offers more seating comfort
– Organic asymmetry allows facing of each unit in a free way/angle since it always looks natural to combine them with a certain gap space though people can go through and sit to each other in an opposite-, side to side- or back to back position
– Set of 3 different sized, free-standing benches, a huge lounge with backrest, 2 different sized planters and a litter bin
– Freedom to combine multiple benches for an entire seating landscape
