Tritone

This design was created by  techniques of shrine carpenters and traditional Japanese door. The top of the stepladder can be folded using the metal fittings and hinges.

And when you unfolded, you can maintain stability by fitting a specialized wooden clasp to the bottom step part of the stepladder.

As for the fasteners, you can do it by assembling wood without using nails or the like. which is the traditional technique of shrine carpenters. In addition, the stairs can be made without using nails by drilling tenons and tenons, a traditional technique used by shrine carpenters.

The term “Tritone” is derived from harmony, symbolizing the notion that combining two different elements can lead to new insights. It refers to a harmony where two tones combined create a striking dissonance. and its also inspired by Yin-Yang.

The original inspiration came from the stepladders used by shrine artisans, hidenosuke koshimizu.
