Table Tavern

Table Tavern is a six-tiered platter with removable bowls inspired by the work of Julia Keilowa, a interwar designer and metal artist working in the Art Deco style. With its minimalist design and functionality, this project simplifies portioning, provides mobility, and saves space on the table.

The core of the project is functionality. The main prototype was preceded by the search for an ellipsoid shape that fits comfortably in the hand. After the sketching phase and the creation of paper prototypes, a parametric code was written, allowing us to adjust the shape of the object and select the optimal form for the chosen manufacturing method—incremental metal sheet forming using a KUKA robotic arm. The Table Tavern is made of aluminum and beech wood.
