Lark
How is a lighting fixture project created? How much time does it take to execute? Is it possible to create something truly unique in a world dominated by machines and digital intelligence?
We often think that creating something new is nearly impossible, and everything has already been invented before us. However, modern designers skillfully reinterpret classic forms, adding contemporary touches, and seek new ways to express their talent. Each craftsman creates their projects to ensure that the reality surrounding us brings joy and inspiration.
Varvara Bukuri, an industrial designer and the chief ideologist of the Odeon Light Exclusive project, always approaches the realization of her ideas with sensitivity and care, inspired by life itself to create true works of art for interiors. Only the symbiosis of modern technology, manual labor, and a rare inner taste allows the creation of real masterpieces.
The Lark line is the fruit of the meticulous work of a whole team of specialists. It all started with Varvara’s idea that we all wake up with the first rays of the sun, and, like larks, we strive to discover a new bright day. Hence the name of the line.
After Varvara creates a sketch, the bird is printed on a modern 3D printer. Then, a ceramic artist steps in, creates the ceramic form, manufactures the final version of the lark, and paints it by hand. It is precisely thanks to manual labor that the magical gradient is achieved, making each subsequent bird unique.
The next stage involves applying glaze to the product, which is then sent to a muffle furnace to be baked at ultra-high temperatures. This approach ensures the achievement of an incredible glossy effect. The skillfully executed gradient on the birds gives them a special delicacy and realism. They seem to scatter across the branches of a transparent tree, immersing us in the atmosphere of a heavenly garden.
Simultaneously with the production of ceramic birds, engineers and technologists start their work, making the finest calculations of the load on each horn. Thanks to their meticulous work, there is no metal frame inside the glass horn, and the chandelier seems to float in space. The light white gradient at the bottom of the glass shades, in the form of elegant small tubes, provides the structure’s lightness and enhances the glowing effect. The reflections on the ceiling, resembling expanding circles on water, look magical.
We always enjoy feeling our uniqueness and want to add elegance to our everyday space. That’s why we desire to surround ourselves with exclusive things. The realization that so many professionals have worked personally for you is truly a magical feeling.
You are special, let your interior reflect your uniqueness.
