Tekton
About Project
The Tekton desk reflects to the home office trend. The aim of its creation is to create a space within the apartment where it is easier to concentrate on current tasks and work. Clean, light, functional, easy to disassemble, not ostentatious, intrusive, does not take up much space. Thanks to its high-quality raw materials – oak, steel – and the precise craftsmanship, as a faithful companion, it helps its owner’s daily life for ages.
The dimensions of the enclosure (width: 90 cm, depth: 50 cm) were determined on the basis of the analysis of the objects used for the work performed online (laptop, telephone notes, telephone, writing instruments, some personal objects). In addition to clean lines, it is equipped with a number of practical storage functions. Powder-coated metal accessories can be easily and quickly slid into the mills to suit your needs. The bent metal elements can be combined as cable and pencil holders, file organizers.
It was also an important consideration to provide opportunities for standing work. Whether in the corner, next to a wall, standing free, it provides accessible and valuable interfaces from all sides.
The uniqueness and character of the furniture lies in the self-locking relationships that take advantage of gravity. Plates, layers, collapse, tensioning forces – plate tectonics. That inspired the desk’s name “Tekton,” which also refers to the layers, fasteners, and the nature of the assembly.
