About Project
A modular system capable for a variety of transformations offers open-ended configurations to accommodate various needs of young users and disabled children, through its adaptability that suits ideal solutions for home-school, classrooms, therapy centers and child care facilities. Playful as a sliding game and derived from functional aspects, shapes are joined together to create a modular system capable for a variety of transformations.
Both pieces of furniture comply with BS EN 1729 European standards which specify functional dimensions for chairs and tables appropriate for general educational purposes. Suitable for the kid’s age, furniture grows together with their user as design becomes visual representation of its transformation. An easy to use adaptive seating response for postural necessities of school-aged kids helps maintaining good posture and reduce repetitive strain injury (RSI) and back pain.
Having in mind products that understand what you expect from them and react accordingly, key ambition is inclusiveness by adapting to fit changing needs of young users and children with disabilities – a solution perfectly responding to human body. Arrangement is governed by efficiency and the aesthetics of efficiency as adjustments are possible by rearrangement of wood bolts in predefined positions, avoiding completely the need of complex mechanical elements and simplifying both use and manufacturing. This substantially reduces cost for buyers since they can take advantage of furniture’s multiple uses ensuring efficiency and longevity throughout child’s growing
Desk adjusts as child grows and task surface can be toggled to perfect height and inclination, converting it into a dynamic open system appropriate for different configurations. It can be transformed just by rotating top surface, allowing inclination for comfort in its several uses, also enabling people in wheelchairs to work with greater ease. Besides height transformation, incredible adjustability enables table top rotating 180° in order to adapt to changing conditions. Surrounding border allows hyperactive kids and children with kinetic problems to use efficiently the desk/table protecting from dropping things down. Versatility is guaranteed through furniture’s multiple functions and due to their uniformity, grouping is also possible especially when used in clusters. Efficiently combined for group activities arrangements offer maximum flexibility in classroom space, reflecting contemporary teaching practices.
Approach to package and product design helps to reduce shipping size and materials, while maintaining the products’ appeal and convenience for consumers. These changes translate into savings in freight costs, packaging expenses and space utilisation.
