In Iran, China, Egypt and some East Asian countries, the lotus has a unique position. In some Asian countries, architectural structures are designed in the shape of a lotus Lotus plays an important role in women’s clothing. The lotus has its roots in the soil, old in the water and facing the sun. The lotus flower opens at dawn and closes at sunset and looks like the sun. Hence, it is a symbol of rebirth, immortality and life. In Persian mythology, Darius has a royal prince on one side and a lotus flower on the other. The lotus flower, which is engraved in all parts of Persepolis, can be considered a symbol of
Achaemenid civilization. This flower, which is seen in many images in the hands of kings and nobles, is a symbol of peace and friendship. In the culture of ancient Iran, we see the lotus flower in Persepolis and its prominent pattern. During the Sassanid period, a lotus flower was carved in
the Boostan arch of Kermanshah. This flower was a symbol of happiness and peace and a symbol of Anahita, the goddess of running water. In Buddhism and Zoroastrianism, the lotus flower has a symbolic symbol and, in some cultures, it is a mystical symbol that has protected itself from vices, because the lotus grows in the swamp, but its beauty comes from the swamp environment.
