About Project

For the past 12 years I been working with pure health beneficial,environmentally responsible copper .From this metal I hand sculpt unique wearable art jewelry and sell it at various art venues and galleries. This time I decided to build copper furniture collection,and hand sculpt mini prototypes samples myself for this contest. My mini cooper furniture prototypes can be built in to a life size copper furniture collection.This copper rocking chair is good for indoor or outdoor interiors. Pure copper will get natural colorful patina from air and moisture oxidation.It is unique and easy to produce from a single rectangular sheet. The sheet gauge can be adjusted according to the size of the chair. With plasma or laser cutter, the tree can be easily cut out for my design.For back part a single seam of the chair tack weld can be used. My rocking chair is very durable,simple and stable.

• Short description of the project:

  My Rocking copper furniture collection is unique, sustainable, durable and healthbenefical pieces of art furniture ,that will be appreciated and used for many generations.
  I hand sculpted this copper rocking chair from a recycled continues sheet of copper . The tree I cut out by hand into the chair with a jewelers'saw. This is small scale working prototype is beautiful, unique and durable.
