Mondrian
About Project
Furniture designed to be of the Ready to Assemble (RTA) typology, its main structure is composed of a copper-colored chrome tube, and Sikuani chipboard laminated wood, taking care of the detail with rounded finishes and leather handles.
Its main function is to allow the user to leave and collect their personal or daily use objects in an orderly manner, as well as helping them plan their day to day with a panel where they can locate notes and documents through a pocket and a magnetic panel. In the coat rack, it allows you to adjust the number of hangers and their location according to the user’s needs through brief turns, all this thought to be an RTA-type furniture that facilitates its packaging, transport, assembly and disassembly.
Its aesthetics obeys the contrast between the formal syntax Simplicity-Complexity, thus giving a singular harmony to the furniture, the simplicity can be observed in its orthogonal shapes and the unity that the tubular structure gives to it, and the complexity is represented with the set of voids that the tube and its panel of hangers give with a grid without sequence taken from reference of Piet Mondrian’s paintings.
