About Project
Project of the lamp “director’s chair” is created as a potential product of company connected with interior design. This company is engaged in the creation of cafes in cinema aesthetic – therefore this lamp is an element of brand style. The company has a name “Preview” which relates to a stage of filmmaking when footage can only be seen in draft version, in format of preview. This company is a concept which I have been developing as the study project for the first semester at HSE Art and Design School (Moscow, Russia).
Speaking of the lamp, it’s made from a director’s chair as the main attribute of cinema sphere. I’ve taken this construction as a base on which there can be placed light bulbs and additional elements like a projector or Go Pro camera. This lamp is aimed at lighting commercial spaces so it’s quite sizeable and collosal. However, its imposing proportions provide an ability to invent new ways of using this lamp.

The aesthetic of constant motions, communication with a plethora of people from assistants to directors and producers, incessant search for elaborate methods of filmmaking...
