About Project

This minimalistic luminaire resembles the shape and glow of the blazar modeled by astrophysicists. The light of the central LED source is refracted by ultra-transparent glass and repeatedly reflected from the gilded metal, creating a unique optical effect. The light of the vertical LED strips located in the cavities of the glass parts simulates the jets of a blazar.
Blazar is one of the brightest and most ancient objects in visible Universe. Its’ pristine light irradiates from the depths of times, penetrating Earth and rushes into the future, illuminating the boundaries of Space.

Blazar luminaire is designed to remind us of the scale and grandeur of Universe and of our place in it. This allows us to distract ourselves from everyday life and vanity, correcting our thoughts, plans and lifestyle, making it more meaningful and conscious.

Diverse light scenarios can create meditative, relaxing, enchanting or romantic atmosphere.

Dimensions: 720mm*220mm (height*width).
Materials: ultra transparent or crystal glass, gold plated metal sheet, polished stainless steel
Light sources: central LED, two multicolored LED strips
Features: several light scenarios changing light temperature and intensity, color scheme and interval mode (static or slowly pulsing)
Hardware: external power supply and bluetooth unit controlled via smartphone.

“BIazar” luminaire can be made as a pendant, sconce, floor or table lamp.
