Kite Stool

The initial exploration started with a question- how to use the least number of components to achieve the optimal strength. The cross-section form of the members is also optimised according to the strength requirements across the structure, i.e., thicker cross-section wherever there is joinery or large compressive loading.

The chair stacks horizontally by folding the seat flap. There is an attempt to minimise the complexity of the joinery by employing simple through joints.
