The human mind gets anxious confronting obscure, unknown, and unusual phenomena, and as a reaction, chooses simplification to understand ambiguity and to recognize them through the association to previous experiences.

The purpose of this product is to evoke emotion and perception by creating ambiguity; inviting to face it through the experience of touch and complementing pleasure by challenging the power of imagination.

This chair is made of original sugarcane bamboo and its bends are completely handmade. Before the concrete hardened, we passed the concrete pillows among the small straws.

In the back support part of the seat using a mold and after the polymer concrete has hardened we pulled the old woven mat part out of the concrete as a sculpture.

When sitting on the concrete cushions chair, contrary to its appearance, it feels very flat and surprises the audience.
This chair has been tested to support 120 kg of weight.

This functional chair was designed in 2021 for the conceptual collection “Chair as a sculpture” and has been exposed to the public in 2022, and the user’s reaction to it was recorded and analyzed.
